I originally saw last June 09 but the sale fell through. I fell in love with it and could see myself there. Bad idea .... to get emotionaly involved. When it came on the market again I viewed it twice. On both occassions there were other viewers. It had 2 bedrooms, a large kitchen, tiny living room and loads of potential. It needed new windows, heating and a new boiler. It turned out the house had rising damp so I backed down and its now sale agreed. Asking price was €250000 and seller wanted €230000 min. My Tips
* Dont believe a word any estate agent or solicitor says. Expect long delays and no one to ring you on time
* visit the area where the house is at different times of the day
* ask the police if you have any niggling doubts about the area
* check the taps work and windows open
* ask if the heating works, just because its there doesnt mean it works
* see if the neighbours have added extensions or converted the attic
* never act too excited , the agent can smell an eager buyer a mile away
* be willing to pay the price to get the house or willing to walk away and leave it
* dont think too much about the price. Its only a guideline and a house is only worth what someone is willing to pay
